History of TSS – The early years

1948: Tool Sales and Service was founded by Charles B. Nichols Sr. serving the Cincinnati area as a tooling distributor and tooling service center located in the Cincinnati suburb of St. Bernard.

1960’s: Under the leadership of Charles B. Nichols Jr. Tool Sales and Service enters the contract machining market focusing on components for the aerospace industry.

1970: Tool Sales and Service machining business is in full swing and has become the core business for the company. Tooling distribution business closed to allow full focus on the growth of contract machining.

1978: The Company has out grown the facility in St Bernard and moves to a facility in Woodlawn, Ohio that has expansion capabilities to support the continued growth of the machining business.
