Welding
TSS offers welding expertise to support our Customers’ varied
requirements including manual welding, automated bore weldding,
stress relief heat treat, and associated inspections.
Manual welding equipment includes Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (or TIG)
for greater control on thin sections, stainless steel and non-ferrous
alloys. We also have Gas Metal Arc Welding (or MIG) and Flux Cored
Arc Welding, capabilities for enhanced versatility and speed.
We employ AMET Bore Cladding equipment to perform automated Hot Wire
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. This equipment can be configured to
automatically clad bores, ring grooves, flanges and outside
circumferences from 2 inches to 48 inches in diameter with corrosion
resistant, hard facing alloys or low alloy carbon steel filler metals.
Our welders are certified to ASME, B & PV Code, Section IX. Our AWS
Certified Welding Inspectors are experienced with API, ASME, AWS,
NACE, Military as well as customers’ proprietary standards.
We have a Manning’s power source and ceramic pad heaters for pre-heat
and local post weld heat treat as well as a Wisconsin Oven. This
electric oven with 125 cubic feet volume is surveyed every 6 months at
± 10°F to perform stress relief heat treat up to 1250°F.
